Taking Bookings for Talks

I’ve been fortunate enough to be invited to talk for camera clubs, societies and retailers both privately and by Canon UK all over the country. The above video is from a talk and workshop session put on for two Camera Clubs at Canon HQ Reigate.

As an experienced photographer and trainer, I can help break seemingly complex topics down into simple and easy to digest techniques that you can try yourself and learn from.

I offer a variety of public speaking options on photography;

  • A talk - On any given topic from the list below, accompanied by a presentation of images.

    • Speed-lights - The lightweight location lighting solution

    • Lighting techniques

    • Visual Storytelling

    • Mirrorless vs DSLR

    • Lightroom basics or advanced

    • Adobe Photoshop - Basics to advanced editing techniques.

    • And more, I’ve been a photography trainer for major brands for a while, if there is a topic you want to be covered I can usually cover it.

  • A live shoot demonstration - See below for current options. I will talk you through my approach to photography and demonstrate every stage of the process. An interactive and engaging way to show you my workflow.

  • A workshop - If there is interest from your group, we can combine the live demonstration with time for your members to shoot, with guidance and tips from both myself and the model on both technique and model direction.

Making Flash Look Natural

In this workshop I’ll break down how to use flash in a way that looks natural, how to mimic natural sources of light and break down the complicated jargon surrounding flash photography.

This is great for people just getting into flash and even better for those that use flash regularly.

Toy Photography

An overlooked area of photography, the techniques learned here can scale up to much larger shoots but can be done in your home or garden using things you have lying around.

Bring out your inner kid and bring toys to life!
