I'm really excited to be doing a workshop I've wanted to run for a long time, the image below I shot with my home built rain machine on my driveway. With a total budget of less than £100.
Sunday 12th August 2018 - 5.30pm - 9.00pm
In Farnborough, Hampshire - £135p/p
During this workshop I'll take you through how to build the rain machine, materials and tools used. Then we'll go through lighting techniques that we will use to make the most of the environment and subjects. We will be using a combination of studio lights and small speedlights. We'll use props and talk about the styling and how to build narrative within an image to take your photography further.
We will go through model direction and how to build narrative using posing and props as well as the lighting. Jade will give you pointers in getting the best out of your models.
All culminating in shooting with the rain machine to bring all the different elements together.
This is going to be an evening workshop, we will go through the techniques and ground work early evening and then once the light is low enough will shoot, It doesn't need to be night time as we will over power the ambient light with the flashes.
Previous experience with off camera flash and/or studio lighting would be beneficial to you to get the best out of the day. If you would like a more comprehensive course, please check out our other workshops here.
